All visitors (excluding parents) upon being granted access to the building are requested to sign the visitor’s book and provide a means of identification. No further access can be made to any of the Nursery’s different rooms where any children might be present, without first being granted access by a member of Nursery staff through a second, securely locked, door.

A biometric fingerprint recognition system has been installed to control access to the Nursery's front entrance and further enhance security.  This ensures that parents and staff can directly access the Nursery via the front door. All other individuals have to use our video intercom system, controlled from the Nursery office, in order to request access to the building.

Webcams located both outside and inside the front entrance records the images of all who enter via the front door. All other doors are locked internally and will only be made accessible in an emergency situation.

The external Outdoor Learning Area is completely self-contained and secure, being located at the rear of the property, it is therefore completely out of view from the main road. All external fencing has been recently renewed (in Sept/Oct 2019) with close boarded acoustic fencing (up to three metres high), in order to increase security and privacy. This area is also covered in detail by the Nursery’s webcam system.’s webcam system. 

We operate strict rules about who can pick up an individual child. Children are only allowed to be collected by parents/carers known to nursery staff. Children will not be allowed to be taken away from the Nursery by anyone else, except by prior agreement with the Nursery.

All our facilities are covered by comprehensive risk assessments including our Outdoor Learning Area. We also undertake detailed risk assessments to cover all our external outings and activities. Parents may view these any time of their choosing. Many of our health and safety policies are available for parents to view via our Parent Portal.
