Thank You to Our Parents

We want to thank all those parents who are Key Workers and have coninued to bring their children to Nursery during the present crisis, helping and co-operating with us as we have changed and developed our routines, in order to make picking up and dropping as safe as we can.
Now as parents return slowly over the next five week phased return to Nursery, they will notice that we have developed a one way system around the Nursery building and that we are now using three seperate entrances for dropping off and picking up, depending upon the age of each child. We have hand sanitiser available at all the different entrances.
This weekend, inorder to help returning parents we have marked off safe distances both internally and externally and we have significantly increased the level of directional and other signage within the Nursery's external grounds.

The benefits of outdoor learning
We passionately believe that children experience a huge range of benefits when they are playing and learning outside in natural environments. The natural world provides an infinite amount more learning resources and opportunities that can ever be provided in a single room or playground. This why we have purchased a completely secure and private nine acre field in Denholme, which it is in the process of developing into our own forest school facility, where children can be taken to enjoy playing and learning all day in a totally natural environment. We are not alone in believing this as a large number of studies show that children benefit from learning outdoors in many ways.
